National Minority Supplier Development Council Recognizes Metasys Technologies, Inc. as National “Supplier of the Year”
MTI awarded top minority business for excellence in business and community service
ATLANTA, Dec. 11, 2007 – Metasys Technologies, Inc. (MTI), a leading provider of business and technology solutions, received the National “Supplier of the Year” award from the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) at its 35th anniversary Awards Gala.
The award, given to the nation’s top minority-owned business, recognizes MTI’s outstanding achievements in business and its contributions to the community.

MTI provides business process outsourcing, services procurement management, IT consulting and professional staffing solutions to numerous FORTUNE 500 and mid-market companies.

MTI has been a supplier of business process outsourcing services including supplier enablement, supplier performance management and purchase order processing to The Home Depot since 2004. In conjunction with improving service levels, The Home Depot has realized savings of more than 40 percent by leveraging the unique combination of MTI’s service offerings. In 2006, The Home Depot honored and endorsed MTI as one of its top minority suppliers.
According to Gauba, MTI owes its success to the supplier diversity managers for offering opportunities within their organizations. Gauba further attributes MTI’s accomplishments to its people who have embraced its “high performance and caring” culture.
“MTI has built a strong reputation with UPS, having provided high quality consultants to service us on several IT projects.” said James Mallard, vice president of procurement for UPS. UPS was also recognized at the NMSDC event, winning the prestigious “Corporation of the Year” award.
AT&T has also been a customer of MTI for a number of years. "We congratulate MTI on its recognition as the NMSDC's National Supplier of the Year," said Debbie Stone, manager of supplier diversity at AT&T.
MTI received the Class II award ($1 million to $10 million in sales), having won it at both the Georgia and Southeastern levels. To receive the award, MTI was nominated by its FORTUNE 500 clients, highlighting its responsiveness, reliability and quality of service. MTI’s financial stability, strong customer relationships, involvement in the community and leading solutions were key elements in being recognized among 15,000 minority suppliers in the US.
